K H Electrical Services Limited are proud to announce that 2011 represents 20 years of trading and during that time the company has gone from strength to strength.


As well as retaining a large and diverse client base, this month sees the award of a secured extension of the Company’s current contract with Southern Rail, which will run for three years, with an additional two year extension. The Company have been successful in retaining the existing business to the Southern infrastructure for over 12 years.


Having the correct structure and ambition in place has brought the benefits of continued successful progress, whilst gaining a wealth of knowledge within this specialised field. This has in turn has contributed towards the safety culture and disciplined regime of the business.


K H Electrical Services Limited started initially trading as a sole tradership back in 1991. The company was founded by Kevin Hollingsworth after a period of sub-contracting to the construction industry on numerous large commercial contracts following a career start with a medium sized, South London Electrical Contractor. It was recognised that Kevin possessed skills within that business and ran a successful eight floor fit out at Harbour Exchange in London Docklands controlling upwards of 14 operatives at the age of 23.


The sole tradership went from strength to strength and was employing fifteen engineers and three office staff within five years, carrying out a multitude of installation and maintenance works to both Construction businesses and Blue Chip clients. At the point of starting the business a young and fresh Mark Francis joined Kevin as an apprentice.


During this period Kevin recognised the potential within the Rail environment and by chance received an opportunity to carry out some minor install works for the territory rail divisions of what was known as Railtrack. Following the successful delivery of projects and after taking in the steep learning curve of the railway environment, Kevin became incorporated and changed the Company trading stance to K H Electrical Services Limited.


Looking to the future, we shall continue to build the business and maintain a prestigious and successful reputation within our industry whilst maintaining the high levels of service to our client’s expectations. We strive to conduct all business relationships with integrity and consideration and to honour every business agreement, exceed customers’ expectations and deliver faultless service.

We are assessed every year by the NICEIC (National Inspection Council for Electrical Installation Contracting) to ensure our work meets the national safety standard BS 7671:2008 (IEE Wiring Regulations 17th Edition) and other relevant technical standards, as a minimum.
